I finished Gensis! In only 4 days! I love Genesis, so many great stories of faithfulness and obedience!
S: So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?”. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. (Genesis 41:39 NIV84)
O: The whole story of Joseph is fascinating to me. He never gets discouraged and through it all praises God though he was sold, forgotten, wrongly accused, and imprisoned. Through all that, he remains faithful to God as his provider. And he is handsomely rewarded for his faith. Pharaoh makes him second in command, calling him wise because of his faith and trust in God. What a mission field!
A: Who am I to determine how long I should suffer? Joseph suffered for years and years, he didn't get recognized and put in charge until he was 30! God is in charge, and no matter what I go through, I should take it as a compliment to my faith and as training and testing for the upcoming journey. God has great plans for me, and everything I go through is just the training camp. Can I be obedient and faithful through all of that?
P: Omniscient God, I know you know the plan for my life, that you have great and mighty things planned for me. Please give me the strength to go through all the hard and ugly things in preparation for the great things you have in store. And show me the blessings everyday that you have given me. Thank you for being faithful. Amen.
