Ahh, Balaam and the talking donkey. It really doesn't get dull in the Bible!
S: “May those who bless you be blessed
and those who curse you be cursed!” (Numbers 24:9 NIV84)
O: I love this whole story because it shows that God is in total control. God wouldn't even allow this man to spout words against Israel, but not just preventing the curse, but words of blessing, three times over.
A: Since we are now all God's chosen people through the blood of Christ, who am I to curse another? I should be watching what I say about others, God's beloved creation, and make sure I am speaking words of kindness, truth, and blessings over them.
P: Precious Lord, please help me to see others the way you see them and guard my tongue and my words to always speak life to them. Amen.
