B90D: Day 11 - Numbers 8:15-21:7

Wow, what a great reading today! Joshua and Caleb and spying in the promised land.... 12 men went to spy on Canaan, 10 were bad and 2 were good.....

S: Whenever the ark set out, Moses said, “Rise up, O Lord!
May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you.”
Whenever it came to rest, he said,“Return, O Lord,
to the countless thousands of Israel.” (Numbers 10:35-36 NIV84)

O: This just struck me as proclaiming the strength and power of the Lord every time they set out. I love that Moses wanted to make this clear every time they moved. Proclaiming that God is going before them and he will make Hs enemies scatter and then when they settled down, reminding them that He is with us too.

A: I love the idea of this. I am considering using these verses as like a morning wake-up type of proclamation. What a powerful statement! And using the second one when we settle down in the evening. A reminder of God's power, protection, and provision.

P: Rise up, my God! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you! May you watch over me as I serve you and reflect you today. And when we are settling down, return O God, to your humble servants in our home. Protect us, comfort us, and provide for our needs. Amen.
