B90D: Day 10 - Leviticus 26:27-Numbers 8:14

Glad to be done with Leviticus, though Numbers is only a small step better. They aren't kidding when they call these the books of the Law.

S: “ ‘ “The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’
“So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.” (Numbers 6:24-27 NIV84)

O: I love this passage, it's one of my favorites. I think it might be even more of a favorite after reading the context. I the midst of all these do's and don't's, God gives this beautiful blessing over the Israelites. I think it was his way of saying, these seem like a lot of regulations, but it's all so I can remain in fellowship with you because I love you and want to bless you.

A: How much do I balk at the rules. But I really need to keep in mind that it's not about just doing something just because, there's always a reason, and God wants to bless me through my obedience.

P: God, thank you for your blessings and provisions in my life. Help me remember that I don't have to understand the why's of the rules, but you will bless me through my obedience and faith. Thank you for taking care of every aspect of my life. Amen.
