B90D: Day 14 - Deuteronomy 8:1-23:11

A recap of the laws given in Leviticus and Numbers...

S: Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, (Deuteronomy 11:18-20 NIV84)

O: All these commands are about becoming familiar with God's Word. About knowing what it says because you've heard, read, been taught it since you were a child. It's a normal topic of conversation, it's something that is talked about all the time, not just on Sundays, not just by preachers, but by everyone.

A: Do I talk about scripture with my kids, with my family all the time? Do I read it, have it written all over my home? Scripture needs to be more of my daily life, it needs to be normal, not just on Sundays.

P: Holy God, keep you words on my heart and on my lips throughout the day to make your laws and words familiar. Amen.
