1/3 of the way through!
S: Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, (1 Chronicles 16:8-12 NIV84)
O: David's lavish praise goes on for several more verses, in fact most of the chapter is him praising God for all that He has done. Wow! He praised God and gave Him all the glory and was encouraging his people to do the same.
A: I will tell God a polite Thank You, but I have never gone all out like this! How David's heart must have been focused in God to give Him that kind of praise! I hope that one day I can give Him that kind of praise from my heart.
P: God, you have blessed us so much this week. After a long season of literal and emotional drought, you have rained on us - both life giving rain and blessings abundant. Thank you for your provision, both now and through the drought. We praise you and give you honor! Amen.
