I love Joshua!
S: Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8 NIV84)
O: Reading the word of God is important! But not just reading, also obeying. And God promises that we will be prosperous and successful. I'm sure that doesn't always mean that we'll have the world's definition of success, but we'll have God's definition of success which is always more fulfilling.
A: I need to be better about reading the Word more frequently and talking about it with my family. Our life should be full of meditating on the Law, but that isn't always the case.
P: God, thank you for your written word. Thank you for your provision and insight into your character. Please help me keep reading your words a priority in my life so that I may have the prosperity and success that you desire for me. Amen.
