We're completely iced in. It snowed/iced all day yesterday and the night before. I think we got 3-4 inches of the stuff. It's not the real stuff, it's the grainy stuff, so no snowmen or anything. But, it did give us some traction on the ice, so we went outside. Actually, R BEGGED to go outside. So, 30 minutes later, after bundling us both up, we made it outside, for all of 10 minutes. It was FRIGID out there! She enjoyed it though, but not so much that she wanted to go out again today. It was beautiful today, it was sunshine-y and everything, but R didn't feel well today. And I really didn't feel like getting her all bundled up again.
Today we got a bill from the gas company for the old house (we don't have gas at this one). Only $1700.00. Yup, what a bargain, right??? Apparently, the guy misread the meter. Ya think???This same guy messed up the order and turned off the gas on my tenant, so she hasn't had heat in the ice storm for 3 days. Poor lady. It's supposed to be on today.
This is what i came upon when I got out of the shower. Pretty cute huh? How is it possible to discipline your child when you have to say it like this:
Me: R! Are you supposed to get into Mommy's makeup?
R: No I not
Me: You are not supposed to get into my makeup, you might get hurt! (Mascara wand in the eye or any other orifice)
R: ok Momma
Me: Wait here, don't move, I'm going to get the camera........Smile!
What kind of discipline is that? But it's not like I could let the opportunity pass. She has a very unique sense of style. Mascara on the cheeks, you'll be seeing it all over the fashion magazines in about 14 years.
In other news, the "reverse psychology" is working beautifully. She asked for her panties 3 times today, and asked for her potty tonight before her bath. She fought and fought with me about how she IS a big girl, and not a baby. This might just work. Stay Tuned folks, you might just see me on Dr. Phil as the next great Potty Whisperer...
