I'm KID-FREE

I know all you moms are jealous too.  R is in Dallas with my parents.  I got to sleep in without wondering if R has leaked out of her diaper.  I do miss the morning cuddles with my baby, but the extra sleep was really nice.
On Thursday, I went up to Tulsa with R for a birthday party.  My step-mom's family is such a hoot.  They're loud (but not obnoxious), silly, and wonderful.  That's why I try not to miss anything that they invite me to.  It's a ball.  We went to Johnny Carino's and had  a blast.  We put my cousin in labor from laughing so much.  Then Nana wanted to go get some new jeans at the mall.  So after dinner, we went to JCP's and she found some cute pants.  I just checked out the clearance racks, just for fun.  I found the cutest jeans for... get this... $5.  No kidding.  And I found a blouse, a 3/4 sweater, and dressy shirt, also for $5.  Super cute.  Meanwhile, I had asked my dad to look at the car because it was acting up.  We drove down the street and he knew exactly what was wrong (more than the shop knew... we took it in two weeks ago for the same problem).  But when he went to check it, he broke the spark plug, so he had to go get the parts before I could go anywhere.  But he got it all fixed, and the labor was free, AND he took R for the weekend.  Dad's are awesome.
Yesterday we just got everything ready for R to go to Dallas.  Nana had gotten her plenty of clothes and we played dress-up for a little bit.  She finds the cutest clothes!  She had gotten her a pair of shoes that was too small, so I went back to return them and get another pair.  And then we got R on the road.  I drove home too and had my friend Cathy over for a James Bond Movie Night.  We had a movie night back in November, but one of my movies wasn't working, so when I got that movie on SwapTree.com, I invited her back over to watch it.  It was so fun.  Daddy got to work out in the garage without feeling guilty and Cathy and I got to watch our favorite British Secret Service agent.
So, the weekend has just begun, and it's already been awesome!  Time for some work today, getting seeds started, but I have today and tomorrow without my child around.  I'm going to automatically get a lot more done!  Hope your weekend is awesome!
