Whew! What a weekend! Thursday night, our area was threatened with two HUGE wildfires. The largest one in the OKC area was about 5 miles north of us, and we had another good sized one about 5 miles south. Both heading northeast for the most part. We watched the news for about 5 hours, watching the progress. The next day R wanted to watch the "fire" movie again... Hehe! Friday I took R to the doctor again. She has a sinus infection and a minor ear infection. Yay. This child is so prone to that stuff and with allergies she is destined to get at least two a year. Not much fun. Then I took her to the chiropractor because she had been complaining about her neck hurting. So I explained to her that her back and neck hurt when the bones were not in line. Of course, she didn't know what bones were, so I had to teach her about bones. Then I explained that the chiropractor had to push on her back to get them back in place to make her neck feel better. So we practiced on her baby. Now, this might seem a little overboard, but we have taken her to the chiropractor since she was 9 months old, and she has screamed like she was getting limbs cut off every time she lays on the table, before the doctor even touches her. So, I was just prepping her. So we went to the doctor, and she watched me get a massage (yes, insurance covers my weekly massage... aren't you jealous?) and then the very nice tech gave her a mini-massage too. She LOVED that. She almost fell asleep. Then I got adjusted, and she climbed up on the table to be adjusted. Now, another tidbit of background. On children, chiropractors only typically have to just push a little to get the bones to move, so that's what I told her would happen. Well, I started getting nervous when he started having to give her an adult-esque adjustment with twisting and snapping and such. She had the deer-in-the-headlights look the whole time, but not even a whimper. What a trooper! We both have to go back next week, but she's excited about it!
We went up to Tulsa on Friday night and R helped Nana make Easter cupcakes. Isn't she cute?
We had a family easter egg hunt on Saturday. Goodness. There were a bunch of kiddos! 8 kids in all. But boy was it fun. 2 new babies, 2 months and 2 weeks. So adorable.
R had a great time, she wasn't as fast as the older kids (she's the second-youngest of the egg hunting crew), but she was just thrilled with all the ones she found.
She apparently is going to be very successful, as she found 8 of the 12 "money eggs." She was rollin' in the cash!
This morning, we were all a little groggy as I feel like I'm coming down with something, and R wasn't sleeping because of the sinus infection junk, but we got up and went to church. She didn't feel up to going to her class, but sat very well with us in the service. The message was awesome, check it out here:

R got an Easter bag with books, princess toys, and a super-cool new princess hoodie that lights up! What a cutie! Happy Easter!

I was thinking about you guys while watching the fires on the news, wondering how close they were to you. Glad to hear they didn't make it to you!
