The rest part doesn't happen very often in my house on Sundays because that's usually when we get farm chores done that we've been putting off all week. Saturdays are usually too scheduled to get those kinds of things done.
Sundays though, Sundays are days we can work hard together, but thoroughly rest in God's blessings that he's given us. We're blessed to have land to work. We're blessed that Mr. P has not one, but two paying jobs during this season of furlough. We're blessed to have a fruitful farm to help sustain us. We rest in these blessings, even while we work with our hands.
Here are a couple more printables from my Family Binder. Enjoy!
The first one is a Big Buddy Responsibility chart. She explains the Big Buddy/Little Buddy system in her book. Basically, an older sibling takes some responsibilities for a younger sibling. Simple things like helping with shoes or getting buckled. The "Benefits" at the bottom are kinda silly, but the special day is when you pick one day for each child that is special. That's the day that that child gets to go get the mail with Daddy, help Mommy dish up breakfast - little things to have some one-on-one time with that child. The next day, it's the next child's turn.
The second set of printables are designed to be front and back. The deep cleaning schedule has the weekly room assignment on the front and the daily assignments for the room on the back.
