Dear B,
There are no words to describe what you have brought into our home and our lives. You shattered our naive notion that the second child would be easy as pie, since we now knew all the 'tricks.' You came into this world and from the get-go changed everything we thought we knew.
You are such a joy in our family. Your big sister was always a happy baby, but there is something about you that just exudes joy. People can't help but smile when they're around you - your attitude just bubbles over! You are learning so much and we are enjoying watching your sweet baby babbling quickly turn into true sentences. I was frustrated when you didn't talk as quickly as your sister, but I think it forced both of us to learn to communicate without words.
You are my cuddler, my sensitive but strong boy. You rarely get hurt, but when you do, you want kisses and loves and for Mommy or Daddy to tell you its going to be alright. And once you know that, you're back at it.
I love this stage that you are in. You are absorbing everything around you, learning all you can, putting pieces together, patterns in order, procedures in place. You love to get up early and help Daddy with the farm chores. You remind him of everything that needs to be done and what order it should be done in. And you watch from the tractor to make sure it's all done right. You dig, you play, you explore, you question. I just love watching your little mind expand so quickly!
I don't know what we would do without you, Little Man. Your sister adores you (and you, her), and we just enjoy your exuberant presence. We are so blessed! God is going to use you in mighty ways, B. He has BIG plans for you, and he's already started using you to help us grow too!
With a new baby in the house, you are going to learn to be a Big Brother! You will have a precious new sister to help take care of, and you will be a big helper. Just know, no matter how busy Mommy and Daddy are, no matter how much other things change, we love you more than you'll ever know, Dude. For such a little boy, you are a big part of this family, and we enjoy you every single day.
We love you, Mister Man!
Love,
Mom
