Catch Up

So, not a whole lot has been going on here.  We've been busy busy busy of course, but nothing much out of the ordinary.  So, I'm just going to post a pictorial update for the last couple months.
Our first family photo, including R's new baby, Haley (which joins her other 2 babies named Haley)

Nana, B, R, and Haley

Introducing B to the goats, they don't seem phased too much by him, but he seems to like them.

R finished her second year of gymnastics in May.  She has learned so much this last year, one of the biggest things being learning to do things by herself (last year she did gymnastics with Daddy).  She really enjoyed showing off all of her skills at Little Olympics.

R is a HUGE helper.  There has been almost no resentment for her brother.  She is always eager to hug or kiss him or just help Mommy.  This day, we gave our babies baths together.

R officially started Kindergarten in June.  We had originally planned to start in September and follow a traditional schedule, but I read a suggestion from a Texas homeschool mom to start school in the summer to give them something to do when it's too hot to play outside during the day.  R plays outside in the mornings, and then we do our school a little before lunch.  We'll take a break from school when the weather cools down to take advantage of the time outside.  Our first week, we learned about creation, including dinosaurs, so we took a field trip to the Sam Noble Oklahoma Natural History Museum.  It is a wonderful museum, provided that you don't read many of the signs.  R really liked this big dinosaur, it's a little easier to understand how big they were like this, than just a picture in a book...

We had the kids pictures made, and BOY did they turn out cute!  R is a natural, and Braden dutifully slept and just looked cute the whole time.  (Pictures by Heaven to Earth Photography - http://www.heaventoearthphotography.com/)

And B gave me his first smiles at 5 weeks old.  He is particularly smiley when he gets his diaper changed, and finally gave Daddy and R their first smiles yesterday (all those weeks he's only smiled at me...)

And B had his first swim and really enjoyed the water.
And R got over her fear of the water and enjoyed swimming 'by herself' in her floatie ring (with Daddy very close by).  She begins swimming lessons next week, and I'm hoping that she won't be afraid of the water anymore.

And some parting shots of my little cowboy.
And that's been our life for the last two months.  Little more than the mundane, but I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.
