Our Own Cinderella

Some of you know that I have been attempting to homeschool R for preschool. I'm trying to get enough practice so I can homeschool through elementary school, at least. Anyways, we have been doing a fairy tale every week (or so) and learning a letter, word and number for each story, along with a science lesson, and economics lesson. Well, since it was Cinderella this week, we did "W" for wish, the number 12, and our economics lesson was cleaning like Cinderella (it's great being the teacher... :) ) So this week, we cleaned the house top to bottom and then we got to go the "ball." R got to get all dressed up in a fancy dress, wear her favorite heels, a fancy bracelet, mama's pearls, and make-up. Riley was so excited and asked about the ball all day. "Will the ball be nice mama?"

Daddy even dressed up as her prince and escorted her to the dinner table, where we had a decorated table complete with gold candles, fit for a princess! She got to eat on our nice china and had a wonderful time. After dinner, she got to sit and watch Cinderella and eat cookies.
