Gardening Revolution

We all went to Springfield this weekend for a gardening class. R stayed with my Grandmother, who lives just outside of Springfield. She had a blast with her all day. The class was on a non-traditional (surprise, surprise) way of gardening, using raised beds and a specific soil-less mix. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

Tomatoes, only half-way through the season (those are 8 foot tall cages, for a reference point)

Marigolds around the egdes for color and bug control
Me with the monster pole beans. 16 feet tall already, and only part-way through the season.

All-in-all we had a great time, learned a lot and are ready to start our own garden using this method.

For more information about this style of gardening (and how, you too can have 8 foot tall tomatoes, and 16 foot tall pole beans), go to www.gardeningrevolution.com

  1. Wow! Those pictures are amazing! I love growing tomatoes. It's just too crazy hot here in Arizona right now though to even think about gardening. I hope to pick it back up when it gets a little cooler. It's been about 115 degrees here. :P
