Seriously. Wouldn't you just love to vacation with these cuties?
D thought the hotel bed was awesome. She was just giggling as she rolled around on it
This was at the Butterfly Palace in Branson. R did/is doing a butterfly unit in school, so we thought it would be fun and educational - a homeschool parent's dream!
They had red poinsettias everywhere and there were butterflies all over the place. It was amazing.
My three adorable children in front of the poinsettia Christmas tree
This was the chrysalis room. These ones in the back had just emerged.
This 'exhibit' was really neat. Pretty angel statue...
...came to life! It really freaked the kids out, but they thought it was pretty cool.
The banyan tree maze.
This was really a small portion of the Palace. They had a rainforest area with reptiles and amphibians from the rainforest. Lots of neat frogs, lizards, turtles, etc. They had a mirror maze that was dark (like the bottom of the rainforest) that was really fun. And they had a documentary about Monarch butterflies. The first 15-20 minutes was really educational and I enjoyed it. The last part was a little more propaganda, but B slept through it so no harm done :)
Review: The tickets were much more inexpensive than anything else our 3 kids could have done in Branson, it's all inside (perfect for winter or the heat of the summer) and all of it was really neat. A great family trip or field trip.
